AHRX PARTNERS WITH PRO VIETNAM AND NOVALAND TO PROMOTE WASTE SEGREGATION AT SOURCE
Collecting and sorting waste at the source is the most practical action each individual can take to address environmental pollution. To powerfully spread a green lifestyle to the community, Green Turtle Hero (AHRX) has partnered with the Packaging Recycling Alliance Vietnam (PRO Vietnam) and Novaland in this meaningful series of programs.
The “Recycling Day” event, held at the Rich Star II apartment complex (Tan Phu District, HCMC), attracted hundreds of families, parents, and children to join hands for the environment.
1. The “Reduce – Reuse – Recycle” Journey for Young Families
“Recycling Day” is an activity within the program series honoring the partnership between Novaland and PRO Vietnam to raise awareness about sorting recyclable waste right at home.
At the festival, nearly 300 families were guided on how to scientifically sort various types of waste, such as paper cartons, PET plastic bottles, and flexible packaging. This properly sorted waste will be promptly transferred to recycling units to be remanufactured into useful items like trash cans, plant pots, and plastic tables and chairs to serve the community.
2. Hands-On Environmental Education Experiences for “Young Heroes”
In addition to gaining useful knowledge, the highlight of the festival was the hands-on experiential space, where environmental protection lessons were integrated into “learn-through-play” activities based on the 3R principles (Reduce – Reuse – Recycle):
Trash-for-Gifts Exchange: The children were incredibly excited to personally bring their sorted recyclable waste to the station to exchange for lovely green potted plants to take home and care for.
Physical Challenges: An obstacle course game where kids tossed bottles into baskets helped them train their physical fitness and fast waste-sorting reflexes.
Creative Arts: Activities like coloring, decorating propaganda paintings, and especially the challenge of assembling a paper 3D Green Turtle Hero model caught the attention of many young artists.
Though the drawings were still sketchy, they proved one thing: Living green doesn’t have to be something grand; it simply starts with small habits and the joyful creativity of children every day.
3. Promoting the Circular Economy Model for Sustainable Development
The program was not just an entertainment festival; it represents a strong commitment from Novaland, PRO Vietnam, and the companionship of AHRX toward realizing the goal of improving the recycling reality in Vietnam. This is also a practical step to promote the circular economy model in line with the Government’s orientation.
By directly impacting children’s awareness and unlocking the proactive spirit of parents, the program expects to build a long-term habit of sorting organic and recyclable waste right within households.
In the coming time, this meaningful model of sorting and collecting recyclable waste at the source will continue to be expanded to many other apartment complexes across HCMC and provinces nationwide. Let’s look forward to the next stops with the Green Turtle Hero!
