Mr. Nhan Nguyen

Mr. Nhan Nguyen has been volunteering his time and championing environmental awareness in Vietnam since 2006 when he worked with the first Environment Club at RMIT University Vietnam. He then organized the first Earth Day event in HCMC in 2009. Since that time, he has started or been involved in a variety of environment related projects.
Throughout 2021 and 2022, Nhan focused on public speaking and community engagement events to champion zero waste, anti-littering and environmental issues. His current project is the Green Turtle Hero anti-littering campaign.

Vietnam Clean & Green

He is a co-founder of Vietnam Clean & Green, an organisation that is dedicated to raising awareness about the negative impacts of littering in Vietnam.

Vietnam Zero Waste Alliance

He is also a core member of the Vietnam Zero Waste Alliance, a grassroots group of organisations actively promoting the practice of zero waste in Vietnam..

Refill

He was founder of Refill an innovative product delivery concept that beat out 159 teams to win the UNDP’s Ending Plastic Pollution Innovation Challenge (EPPIC) competition in January 2021.

Aside from his volunteer work, Nhan’s full time job is at RMIT  University Vietnam, where he has worked since 2003 in a variety of roles in both Academic and Administrative departments. As an academic, Nhan has delivered courses in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Management and Tourism/Hospitality Bachelor Degree Programs. He has also held Administrative roles such as being the School Manager where he managed the administrative & business functions of the School of Business & Management. He was responsible for Budgeting, Industry Relations and managing an administrative team to oversee all School events across the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City campuses.
